This site is dedicated to the memory of Peter Axon.
Peter Axon was born in Preston, Lancashire on April 10, 1944.
He was dearly loved by his wife Sandra, his daughters Helena and Jennifer and will be greatly missed by the many family members and friends whose lives he touched in a gentle yet significant way.
Peter fought a short but brave fight with Cancer and although he knew it was a battle he could not win in the end, he took the opportunity to enjoy the company of his beloved family and many of his cherished friends.
Peter died peacefully at Trinity Hospice in Blackpool with the morning sun on his face and his favourite song playing him out,surrounded by his family.
He will be sorely missed by so many people.

Peter was not my friend as such, but being the person he was he had the discerning ability to make you feel that you are his friend and always have been. Our paths first crossed in the early 2000's when Peter was working with Care and Repair, and I was in Housing at Blackpool Council. We found ourselves work colleagues again when I joined BCH in 2014, then in late 2015 I was seconded to the Care & Repair Team, and Peter was there to help and advise. In addition to work issues we shared a love of good coffee, and great beers, and we were looking forward to exploring both at various locations in Poulton. Time has robbed us both of those experiences, just small things but they are what connect us with like minded souls. Bless you Peter I can't be with you to say farewell, but will be raising a glass to you on Friday. Tom Barlow.
